As the founder and director of ‘Gong Sound Space’, I have organized events and collaborated with other artists nationally, internationally, and online with intention to create meditative and collaborative sonic spaces. Events include sound immersions (gong baths or meditations), improvisational concerts and collaborations, indoor and outdoor ‘live’ sonic installations, experiential workshops, and gong trainings – philosophy and practice.

If you are in Kitchener/Waterloo area, join in for a concert with both Lithophonica + Earth & Ether Ensemble (featuring Jim Harley, Reza Yazdanpanah, Stacey Bliss as well as Gerard Yun) from 5:00pm at the Trillium Lutheran Church in Waterloo, Ontario. Gerard plays shakuhachi (Japanese end-blown flute), Stacey plays gongs (wind and symphonic), Reza plays Persian tar (long-necked stringed instrument), and Jim creates digital soundscapes (cool). 10 Nights of Gong Research

10 nights, 10 research themes: I will give a 10-minute research talk followed by a 45-minute gong bath each night. Weather permitting, we will be in the courtyard. Restorative Yoga with Holistic Gong Sound
Restorative Yoga is perfect for all levels and bodies. Each posture is held, supported with blankets, bolsters, or blocks for 4 minutes or longer. Deep supported holds allow rest and a mindful stillness of physical and mental agitations. Once you are in the postures, led by Elizabeth Ewanchuk, Stacey Bliss plays gong during the class.

Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance Training with Master Don Conreaux
Stacey Bliss hosts Don Conreaux’s 3-day Training in Toronto: Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance in Toronto, Canada. In this 3-day training, attendees learn yoga exercises in combination with gong that target meridians (energy lines), muscles, and emotions in order to provide pain relief and release tension.
Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance is a system that consists of 39 exercises. In skillful balance of simplicity and complexity, each exercise employs targeted muscles and energy lines. Exercises are combined with breathing, body locks, and the sounds of the gong. These exercises with gong are suitable for any level and body-ability.

Concert for Peace with Don Conreaux and Local Musicians
An evening of music inspired and conducted by Gong Master Don Conreaux. This is an improvised concert with local Gong players, musicians, and performers. Don begins with songs for peace on the shruti box, followed by an improvised in-the-moment curation of holistic gong sounds, bowls, tabla & hang, oboe and more. A performance artist also joins in to respond to the gong and musical vibrations. This event precedes York University’s All Nations Pow Wow. Attendance at College Street United Church from 7:30PM – by donation with proceeds to Indigenous student initiatives at York University. Event is organized and sponsored by SA Bliss of Gong Sound Space and co-sponsored by YGSE (York Graduate Students in Education), Daya Kaur, and Lotus Yoga Centre, Barb McIntosh, Paiste Gongs, and The Wellness Path.
